Our policy theme (which includes Design Wales and the International Institute for Design Policy and Support) covers our macro research – that is examining and encouraging an environment that is conducive to the application of design. Within this theme, PDR has been active in consulting and advising local and regional governments throughout Europe and guest speaking on the international stage. A major aim of the Policy theme is to influence the next generation of innovation policies by communicating the value of design to the development of manufactured products, the development of services in both the private and public sectors, and, in addressing wider societal issues.
