BIOGRAPHY:
As Commercial Director, Jarred heads up a team of highly talented designers, engineers and technicians. An experienced and award winning designer with over 20 years experience in design and new product development, Jarred has extensive practical experience in both in-house and consultancy environments across a range of both small and large multinational companies. This includes extensive experience in medical device development in particular but also encompasses many other sectors including sports equipment, domestic appliances and retail products.

Jarred’s particular specialism’s lay in; new product design, medical device development, design management, applied design research and innovation and user centric design. This is underpinned by a high level of applied academic study and training which includes; BA in Product Design, MA in Industrial Design and a MBA.

Jarred combines management at the Centre with consultancy and collaboration work. He has over 15 patents to his name and often speaks for various organisations on best practice design, innovation and new product development issues.

Jarred’s current research focus is in the area of user-centric design, especially in terms of application and improving accessibility to user-led design and development principles.
