BIOGRAPHY:
Claire is a product designer and interaction researcher. She graduated from Cardiff School of Art & Design’s  BA (Hons) Product Design course in 2009 with a 1st class honours. Claire is the holder of a Prince of Wales Innovation Scholarship (PoWIS) jointly run by PDR and Peepo GPS Ltd., developers of assistive navigational technology for the blind or visually impaired.  PoWIS scholarships involve a high level of private investment and have a strong commercial focus. Claire’s commercial research is focussed on supplying Peepo with the knowledge it requires to inform product development. Her academic work dovetails with those commercial interests. Claire’s PhD asks: ‘Can We Design Better Products For Everyone By Learning How Blind/Visually Impaired People Interact With Technology?’.
