Jarred Evans, Commercial Director at PDR, recently spoke at a UKTI symposium on development and export growth for the Defence and Security sector. The defence and security industry is a key sector of the UK economy and represents a substantial area of PDR's work.

Jarred's talk focussed on both the challenges and advantages of new product development in this area, particularly the challenges faced by smaller organisations and SMEs.

The presentation described tangible advantages and benefits from the utilisation of the latest tools and methodologies in the application of early usability testing using the unique facilities and expertise at PDR; also, he described the benefits of utilising rapid low volume manufacturing technologies within a robust and reliable design process.
