Human Factors and Usability Studies

PDR’s approach to Human Factors and ergonomics is based upon maximising user contact throughout development to inform, specify, refine and test product development. Drawing on a broad range of techniques including task analysis, anthropometrics and usability studies, we design intuitive, safe and pleasurable products for the end users.

PDR’s usability experience includes the planning and conducting of formative and summative usability studies during the development of medical devices. Such studies provide an effective mechanism for documenting evidence of user involvement throughout the design history of medical devices; a key factor in helping companies meet their legislative requirements.

Our knowledge and techniques of interactive prototyping allow us to produce tangible test rigs and prototypes for trial and evaluation at all stages of the design process.
