There are times when it is necessary to accurately capture and understand an existing product, component or geometry. In addition to our core competencies of design, engineering and prototyping, PDR has the ability to reverse engineer product components, mechanisms and features.

Captured geometry uses range from recreating tooling and design specialist jigs and fixtures through to capturing natural organic forms that has inspired a new design.

PDR use a range of 3D scanning equipment, traditional tools and trusted methodologies to recreate original data, producing editable CAD complete with model history trees. We also present the means to validate scan data and to test the integrity of recaptured model data.
